2 Critical Pieces To The Anti Aging Therapy Puzzle

For anyone that has ever spent any time putting a jigsaw puzzle together, you know that the puzzle is not done until all of the pieces have been successfully placed. Let’s think of anti aging therapy as a puzzle, and the various areas that are affected by aging, and that can affect aging, as the pieces of the puzzle. Looking at it this way, there are two critical pieces to this anti aging therapy puzzle. 

Positive Attitude

You have probably heard the comparison between one who sees the glass half empty versus the person who see the same glass as half full. This is the crux of the issue of having a positive attitude or not. People with a positive attitude have been shown to have less of the stress-related diseases that become more common as we get older. With all that is takes to make ends meet and keep a family going, even if that means your pets, it is no surprise how easy it can be to have a negative outlook. Like the other piece of this anti aging therapy puzzle that will be discussed, it turns out that achieving a positive attitude is largely a self-will thing. If you are determined to be negative, no amount of positive reinforcement from those around you will give you a good outlook. However, if you make the decision to try to be positive, and then focus on, and surround yourself with, positive people and activities, you will begin to see that glass as half full.

Healthy Self-Esteem

How you see yourself is more important than how others see you. This piece of the anti aging therapy puzzle is about how you see yourself. As you get older, your view of what you should be able to do physically or mentally may not necessarily match where you are now in your life. You may not be able to run like you once did. You may not be able to play full court basketball like you once did. You may not be able to play the piano like you once did. These changes may be due to age, injury or chronic health problems. No matter what the cause, the fact that there are things you used to do that you can’t do as well anymore can lead to low self-esteem. Here is another case of self-will. To achieve a healthy self-image you will need to adjust you “success bar” to a level that is realistic for your current circumstances. This will not indicate failure or your part, rather a determination on your part to succeed. And success will lead to a healthy self-esteem.
